Silent Auction

Grahamsdyke Branch SNP will host a silent auction on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. in the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Bainsford. Tickets cost £2 which are available from the SNP shop Graham’s Road or Councillors Meiklejohn and Alexander. A good fun night with many exciting and unique lots, come along and bag a bargain.

Bowling Club

Volunteers are required this Saturday from 9 a.m. onwards at B.A. Bowling Club to help with getting the club ready for the new season. Entry forms and fees should be returned on Saturday, March 14. The treasurer will be in the club from 10 a.m. until noon. Anyone interested in joining the club should come along on March 14. For more information contact Allan on (01324) 628031.

Braveheart Walks

Devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m. finishing an hour later in Greggs for tea and a cake. Parish Church

On Sunday the worship in Bainsford Parish Church is at 11 a.m. and will be conducted by the Rev. Andrew Sarle with the theme being ‘A clean sweep’. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service. Last Sunday, the Rev. David Smith, Moderator of Falkirk Presbytery and accompanied by his daughter Hazel, conveyed greetings from presbytery and from his own congregation at Kirk of the Holy Rood, Grangemouth. During the service Mr Smith presented the congregation with a wall hanging depicting a Celtic Cross as a gift from himself. The Deacon’s Court and the Kirk Session will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The congregational annual general meeting will take place on Sunday, March 22 in the hall after the morning service.

Country Dancing

Take the floor at Bainsford Parish Church Hall, Smith Street for Scottish Country Dancing each Thursday at 7.30 p.m. New members most welcome.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop in Club with the following failities: free access to Job Centre website, help with CV, benefits advice and support available. Tea and coffee on offer. For further information contact Alan Bald on (01324) 501470.

Senior Citizens

The Carron Connect Partnership (Sofia project) have organised the following activities which will be held in the Bainsford Community Centre. Special Prize Bingo will be held on Tuesday from 7 till 9 p.m. Please bring your own cup. Tea dance on Sunday, March 15 from 1.30 till 4 p.m.
