Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop In Club which has been in operation for nearly three years, with the following facilities, free access to Job Centre web site; help with CV, benefits advice and support available. Fruit Barra

The Fruit Barra which is located in the Dawson Cafe (in Dawson Centre) will be available at the normal time of 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. tomorrow (Friday). Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Healthy Start vouchers will be accepted. For any information, contact Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Boys’ Brigade

All sections of the 8th Falkirk Boys’ Brigade will start back tomorrow (Friday) in Bainsford Parish Church hall, Smith Street as follows: Anchors 6-7 p.m.; Juniors 6.30-8 p.m.; Company 8-10 p.m. All welcome. Girls’ Brigade

The 8th Falkirk Girls’ Brigade is due to start back on Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. in Bainsford Parish Church Hall, Smith Street. This is an enrolment evening. On Tuesday, September 2 from 6.30 till 8 p.m., members are asked to bring a friend. On Tuesday, September 9 from 6.30 till 8 p.m., all sections will meet. Senior Citizens

The Carron Connect Partnership have organised a Tea Dance which will be held in the Bainsford Community Centre in aid of the SOFIA Project for Senior Citizens on Sunday from 1 till 4 p.m.

Anyone who lives or works in the area within the boundary of Falkirk Council can join, junior savers welcome. Braveheart Walks

Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start at 10.30 a.m., finishing an hour later in Greggs for a tea and cake. Call (01324) 673703 or walk leader on (01324) 554897.

Bowling Club

Bainsford Bowling Club is holding a prize bingo on Thursday, October 23 to raise funds for the club. Tickets are on sale now from behind the bar priced £1. Donations of prizes would be much apprecriated. A sheet is up in the clubhouse or see Andy or Anne Milne.

Parish Church

On Sunday the worship is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Sarle conducting the service with the theme ‘Who do you say I am?’ There will be a retiring collection in aid of The Gaza Crisis Appeal. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service. The Deacon’s court and the Kirk Session will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
