Baby of the week: Lily Mashudu Miller

The birth of Lily Mashudu Miller.

THE DETAILS: Lily Mashudu Miller was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary on November 5 at 6.15 a.m. weighing 9lb 14oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Cara Dzivane (29) works as an assistant manager at Bravissimo in Edinburgh, while dad Barry Miller (37) is from Hallglen and works for Coral Bookmakers. The family live in Hallglen and Lily is the couple's first baby.

THE PREGNANCY: Cara had a tough time during her pregnancy with a lot of morning sickness and she also suffered a dislocated hip and carpal tunnel syndrome, however she said she would have done it all over again the minute she set eyes on Lily.

THE BIRTH: Cara was 12 days overdue so was induced in hospital. Her first epidural didn't work so she was given a second. However, Lily's heart rate dropped so she had to have an emergency caesarean.

THE BABY: Mum says that she already has her own little personality and already has the world wrapped round her finger. Lily is also surprising health visitors as she has two teeth coming through at just nine weeks old.

THE NAME: Lily was Barry's grandmother's name and Cara loved the sound of the name Lily Miller. Lily is also a quarter South Africa so

Mashudu was chosen as the middle name.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Lily is a firstgrandchild for Cara's mum Eleanor Dzivane, who lives in Falkirk, and a sixth grandchild for Barry's

parents Helen and Brian Miller from Hallglen.

THANKS: Thanks go to the Poppy Team at Stirling Royal Infirmary and to both grandmothers.
