The birth of Ava Hamilton Barron
THE DETAILS: Ava Hamilton Barron was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary at 2.41 a.m. on August 21 weighing 8lb 1oz.
THE PARENTS: Lorraine Hamilton (24) is a student nurse and dad Ross Barron (24) works for BP at Grangemouth. Ava is the couple's first baby
and the family live in Rumford.
THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy went very smoothly. New mum Lorraine said she suffered no problems apart from a little bit of heartburn.
THE BIRTH: Little Ava was two weeks late so Lorraine had to be induced. After that, the labour was relatively quick and everything went well.
THE BABY: Mum Lorraine described Ava as a perfect baby and a great sleeper. Ava has slept through the night ever since she was a few weeks
old. She also eats well and is being very good for her mum and dad.
THE NAME: Ross and Lorraine had picked different baby girl names but Lorraine said that Ross was so besotted with their newborn that his
choice was picked which Lorraine was also very happy with.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Ava is a first grandchild for Kay and Thomas Hamilton of Brightons and also a first grandchild for Douglas and Roslyn Barron from Maddiston.
THANKS: Special thanks go to the Poppy Team at Stirling Royal Infirmary.
