Community Council

The next meeting of Avonbridge and Standburn Community Council will be held on Thursday, September 11 at 7 p.m. in Drumbowie Primary School, Standburn. On the Agenda - the proposed development at Craigend will be discussed, an invitation has been extended to surrounding community councils who we are working with in regards to this matter. If you have any items you wish to discuss please come along.

Parish Church

A warm welcome is extended to everyone to join us at our morning Worship at 9.45 a.m. on Sunday, led by Rev. Ken McKay. Pastoral Care Group - If you know of any one in the Parish who is ill or in Hospital, or has been recently bereaved and would appreciate a visit or a card, please contact our Pastoral Care Co-ordinators Mrs jean Wilson on (01324) 860105 or Mrs Aileen Thomson on (01324) 861352. This year Pedal for Scotland is on Sunday, September 7, as in the past we are providing refreshments of home baking for all those taking part. Donations of home baking would be very much appreciated, it can be handed into Mrs Wilson or Mrs Thomson or any other member of the Church, thank you in advance for your help.

Fun Day

The Avonbridge and Drumbowie Active Kids Fun Day is being held on Sunday at Avonbridge Primary School from 10.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. Free entry. There will be a climbing wall, mountain bike challenge, bouncy castle, fix your bike with Dawson Bike Club and a tuck shop among other activities. Bring your own bike. The event is sponsored by Falkirk Community Fund and Avonbridge and Standburn Community Council. The event will coincide with the Pedal for Scotland event which is passing through the village.
