A man was arrested after armed police officers responded to an incident in Grangemouth’s Strowan Road on Saturday.
The road, located near Oxgang School, was closed off for two hours from 12.15 p.m. as police and an ambulance response unit dealt with the matter at hand. While not confirmed by Police Scotland, it is believed officers who attended the scene were armed and there were reports the suspect was in possession of a knife.
A police spokesman said: “The incident passed with no issues. One male has been apprehended and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
