SWAPPING trainers for blue suede shoes landed Jon Fleming the Elvis World Cup.

The 35-year-old gym manager at Grangemouth's Circuit Health and Fitness Club beat tribute acts from 12 nations to land the prestigious award.

Jon, who only took up imitating Elvis five years ago and goes by the stage name Johnny Lee Memphis, was over the moon to beat acts from
Australia, USA and Spain in the contest in Cardiff last weekend. To win, the Presley enthusiast had to sing to a backing track, cover a gospel hit and then sing two songs with a live backing band.
