FALKIRK'S oldest punter celebrated his 100th birth-day on Monday - with a party at his local bookies.

Roy Hunter is a daily visitor to the Hallglen branch of Ladbrokes and spent the afternoon there as usual after receiving his telegram from the Queen.

He was joined by friends, family and Provost Pat Reid for a special birthday cele-bration.

Staff and customers presented him with a cake and a laid on a buffet.
Ladbrokes gave him £50 in free bets and allowed him to place a £100 charity stake.

He backed 10-11 joint favourite Comedy Act at the 4 p.m. race at Bath.
Sadly the horse was pipped to the post but Ladbrokes still donated the stake to Strathcarron Hospice on Roy's behalf.

Born and raised in Glen Village, Roy has lived in the area his entire life.
