BOMB disposal experts were called to a street in Falkirk after police discovered a "suspicious substance".

Officers closed off Glynwed Court, Bainsford, last Friday from the early hours of the morning to just after noon.

During this time, members of the Royal Logistic Corps Bomb Disposal
Unit and the Scottish Government's Scottish Resilience service, which supports the Fire and Rescue Service during serious incidents, then
carried out a careful investigation in a second floor flat.

Police arrived at the property at 1 a.m. after they received a missing person report.

They found the man in question, but then discovered chrystalised substances in several unmarked containers which they feared may have been explosive.

What do you think about the Social Services Budget?
It's bad - pensioners should not be asked to pay for their home care
It's good - social services are always over budget and enough money has been spent on it already.
