The wedding of Gayle McNaughton and David Mellor

THE COUPLE: Gayle (26) is from Larbert and works as an account executive in Stirling, and David (24) is a sales consultant also in Stirling. The newlyweds live in Alloa.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met through work in 2008.

THE PROPOSAL: Gayle was very surprised when David popped the question during a country walk in September 2009. She was delighted and loved the engagement ring he had picked.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on May 12 in Loch Lomand. The beautiful weather meant that the couple married outside and had a fantastic day. The couple say the highlight was having so many of their family and friends there to celebrate with them.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Gayle’s bridesmaids were her sister Paula Sexton, her cousin Gemma Forshaw, her friend Joanna Rae and her new sister-in-law Nicola Mellor. The best man was David’s best friend Andy Donaldson and the ushers were Dean Wood and Bryan Keye. The couple’s son, two-year-old Charlie, was a page boy.

the dress: Gayle wore an ivory strapless wedding gown which was plain with a full skirt. She also wore a floor-length view with pearl detail.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent 10 days in Antigua.

THANKS: Thanks to both sets of parents for all their help and support, and to all the wedding guests for all the lovely gifts.
