THE COUPLE: Pauline (44) is from Bonnybridge and works as a support worker, while Brian (39) is from Camelon and is a team leader for a housing company. The couple live in Bonnybridge.

HOW THEY MET: Pauline and Brian used to work together so were friends initally but got together two years later.

THE PROPOSAL: Brian proposed to Pauline in a packed pub in Glencoe. The couple were enjoying some time away to celebrate Pauline’s bithday. But when Brian interrupted the live music to wish Pauline many happy returns, he got down on one knee.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held in The Three Kings on September 22. There were 150 guests at a 6 p.m. service who then celebrated with the couple at a party afterwards. The wedding had a black and red theme which even the couple’s rottweilers joined in with by wearing red collars.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Pauline’s son James gave her away and the two best men were Stuart McIntosh and Alan Greenhill. The bridesmaid was Pauline’s good friend Audrey Ford.

THE DRESS: Pauline’s original dress didn’t turn up due to problems with the supplier so nine weeks before the wedding she ordered an almost identical gown from Hong Kong.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent 10 days in Sri Lanka.

THANKS: Special thanks got to both mums, June Hastings and Margaret Greenhill. Thanks also to the Rev Ian Wilkie, Calneva Images and florist Daisy Craze.
