A gorgeously bright garden room that gets the sun all day long is just one reason to love this perfect family home.
Pauline and Robert Cooper moved into their lovely home in a quiet corner of Dennyloanhead in 2006, when the Bett house was newly built.
Since then, they have spent a lot of time making it their own, with bespoke, luxurious touches such as transforming the smallest bedroom into a beautiful Hammonds dressing room, which is fully fitted and must surely make getting ready in the morning a pleasure.
The Coopers also added the garden room, which is surrounded by huge windows that allow the light to flood in, to create another sitting room, and Pauline believes it would be perfect for a family, giving children or older teenagers their own space.
“We spend nearly our whole time in the garden room – we absolutely love it! It’s a fabulous room.” said Pauline.
“It’s also nice to have a bit of extra space if you’ve got guests, for example, but I think it would really come into its own for a family!”
The four-bedroomed house includes a master bedroom which is en-suite, and here too Pauline has upgraded the bathroom suite to make it more modern and stylish.
It’s the finishing touches that Pauline thinks makes the house special – there is coving in every room and Karndean flooring throughout, except the sitting room, which is carpeted.
The kitchen is spacious and fully fitted – the couple installed extra units to make sure there was ample cupboard space.
Another major plus point, says Pauline, are the large cupboards which are not always found in modern homes.
She also loves her private garden, which is enclosed by a six-foot fence and therefore very private. It has been designed for ease of maintenance and there is an integral garage too.
The couple also like the area – the small Dalmair Rise estate , with just 36 houses, is very quiet but is a great location for commuting as it is just over a mile to the motorway entrance and an easy journey by car to either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
It is also convenient for both Stirling and Falkirk and for local schools.
“We really love the house and the area,” said Pauline. “We’ve got the chance to build our own house, which is something we’ve always wanted to do or we wouldn’t be moving.”
A sunny garden room is just one way in which this four-bedroomed house in Dennyloanhead has been improved.
Current owners Pauline and Robert Cooper love spending time in the bright, sunny room. They have also added Karndean flooring throughout as well as coving for an elegant finishing touch. The couple have also upgraded the family bathroom and the en-suite found in the house’s master bedroom.
With a spacious and modern kitchen, there is also a formal dining room and the house also boasts plenty of storage space and an integral garage.
The garden is private and fenced off with a sun patio.
Three Thinks I Love
The Garden Room
Surrounded by windows, the garden room guarantees a sunny outlook. Warm all year round, it’s the room Pauline and Robert most enjoy sitting in.
Despite being in an ideal situation for commuters, close to the motorway, this is a small quiet estate of just 36 houses.
The Dressing Room
Pauline converted the house’s smallest bedroom into a Hammonds fitted dressing room - a lovely place to get ready in the morning.
