Video may have killed the radio star but it is proving to be an excellent marketing tool for one Falkirk band.

Echofela release their second single ‘I Can’t Find the Time’ on Monday (October 31) and created a music video to publicise it.

In 48 hours the video has been viewed over 1000 times and has created a buzz on social networking sites.

Lead singer Barry Price praised Simon Gillespie from Music Video Scotland who made the video and added the band were overwhelmed with its success.

Barry, from Larbert, said: “We were over the moon with the results of the video.

“The band and Simon sat down to think up a concept and came up with lots of scenarios and scenes.

“We ended up filming in loads of local locations, from Kinnaird Village to Blackness Beach and Larbert Train Station.

“Having a video has brought a lot of traffic to our website and Facebook and it’s getting viewed all over the world.”

The band, which had a shake up earlier this year and welcomed new members Stephen Grant on bass and Graeme Bell on drums joining Barry and Adam Railton on guitar, are celebrating the launch of the single with a gig at 20 Rocks on Friday. November 4.

The venue has sold out of tickets but the boys still have a few which are available by emailing info@echofela.com or through the Echofela Facebook site.

Barry added: “We love what Simon did with ‘I Can’t Find the Time’ so much we are going to create a new video for our first single ‘Girls Girls Ladies’ and we have a totally amazing idea for our third single ‘Wish It Was Friday’ that we are releasing in early 2012. It’s going to be fantastic.”

Echofela release ‘I Can’t Find The Time’ through iTunes and all other good online music retailers, on Monday, October 31.
