Location, location, location is the mantra for most when buying a new home and that was certainly the case for the Gardner family.

Yvonne and husband Stuart wanted to stay in Victoria Road, Grangemouth, and ended up taking on a full restoration project to do so.

Yvonnne explains: “Victoria Road is a great street and so, when the flat came up, I was desperate to take it, even though it needed absolutely everything doing to it.

“We had the place re-wired, central heating installed and got a new kitchen and bathroom. It was a lot of work but it’s meant that we got exactly the home we wanted.”

The three-bedroom ground floor flat in a quiet residential street is unusual in that it has a huge outdoor space.

Yvonne said: “The garden is a real selling point, it’s massive and we have a summer house and barbeque area which we are leaving for the next owners.

“The garden is south-west facing and so gets the sun all day long. We have so many happy memories from being outside and it’s a great space for throwing parties.”

The Gardner family are leaving the flat to find a bigger family home now they have new addition, one-year-old Alfie.

“We will be really sad to leave,” said Yvonne.

“There are great quality appliances and fittings throughout and it’s just a great, spacious flat.

“It was out first home together when we moved here in 2009 but it’s just time to move on and let someone else take over this lovely flat.”
