When Jennifer and Paul Cowan first saw this Falkirk house, they immediately realised it had potential.

The location and the semi’s large rooms made it as attractive to the couple seven years as it is now.

And, after this three-bedroom house in Queens Crescent was renovated, it became a large, bright modern house where plenty of good times have been had.

Jennifer said: “It was crying out to be modernised.

“We completely gutted it. We fitted a new kitchen, new bathroom, flooring, and redecorated every room in the house.

“Now’s it’s a nice, bright, social house that is comfortable and modern.

“It flows very well and there’s a lot of living space.”

The Cowans love this home’s layout, from the separate open-plan dining area to the large bedrooms with fitted wardrobes.

And while this property has been brought bang up-to-date, the couple have been keen to enhance its traditional features such as the bay window lounge and the staircase.

The location is also another big plus of this house, being close to the town centre but also being quiet with a secluded and private garden.

Jennifer said: “The garden is really lovely. We get sun all the time.”

And as well as ample storage throughout the property, there’s also a detached garage and a car port to the side.

The couple are now looking to make a move out of the area, but are sad to leave this house behind.

Jennifer added: “We’ve been very happy here and had a lot of good, happy times.”

The property in Queens Crescent is on the market with Slater Hogg & Howison estate agents at the fixed price of £199,000. For more information, call (01324) 406034.
