Set in a small, exclusive development, this lovely modern house combines the benefits of country life with the security and friendliness of neighbours.

For Channa Kew and her family, it’s been a lovely family home for three happy years, which have included the birth of her daughter, Mila, now 16 months old.

Although they now have their heart set on a house with more land to keep horses, there is much they leave behind regretfully.

Channa will especially miss the beautifully spacious master bedroom, with its dramatic vaulted ceiling and elegant French doors that open out on to the large balcony.

“It’s a lovely place to sit – a real suntrap. The glass panels all around shelter it from any wind. The little one goes down about 7.30 p.m. so I like to sit there and relax.”

If you need more relaxation, the master bedroom’s en-suite also boasts a double jacuzzi bath.

Another of the bedrooms is also en-suite, which is ideal for visitors.

Downstairs, Channa, who runs her sports injury clinic from home, uses one of the reception rooms as a treatment room.

The lounge is bright and spacious, while the kitchen has a utility room off it.

“It’s very flexible,” she says. “We also have a sun room which we use as a dining room and sitting room. It’s really beautiful to sit in, especially in the morning to have breakfast. It’s really warm and bright. “

All of the downstairs rooms lead off a central hallway which is large enough for Mila to happily drive her toy car around.

There is plenty of space outside for a family too.

“The garden is bigger than it seems because it’s very long,” says Channa. “It’s low maintenace but you could do a lot with it. There are really lovely places to walk nearby too. You can see Little Denny reservoir from the balcony.

“With having the baby, we haven’t done a lot of work but we did put a new boiler in and repaired the roof lining. We did what needed done and the house is in great condition now.

“We had to rebuild the balcony and make it water tight a couple of years ago but we decided it was worth doing.”

As her husband Tim travels regularly to Aberdeen to work off-shore, the family also appreciate the house’s close proximity to the motorway network, as well as Denny, Falkirk and Stirling.
