We’re giving Falkirk Community Trust’s The Memories of ... Cinemas in the Falkirk Area event another plug before the curtain rises on October 15 at Callendar House.

Following our recent feature on the nostalgic look back into the golden era of the movies, we received some memories of some readers’ times at the movies.

Peter Anderson said his favourite memories were: “Seeing Jungle Book and Easy Rider for the first time at Bank Street Picture house, now known as Wetherspoons.”

Jane Berry said hers was: “Saturday morning cinema as I was allowed to go with friends, not parents.”

Stacey McKenna Douglas said: “My gran worked at ABC for years! Miss those days. Mum and uncle also worked there at one point, fond memories.”
