Serving your country’s Armed Forces has been both a privilege and a pleasure for Ron Raymond.
Ron was a submariner in the Navy from the 1950s to 1960s and has spent time in some of the world’s most remotest places like the North Pole.
The 77-year-old served on vessels such as HMS Seraph, Astute, Sleuth, Scotsman and Roqual.
Ron is now hoping to set up a new Submariners Association in Grangemouth for ex-Navy personnel to meet locally.
Ron said: “There is a Scottish group but people from this area need to travel to Perth to attend the likes of meetings and functions so I thought it would be better to have one locally, but we need a few members to help us get it started.”
