Long before the Westfield stadium was built for Falkirk Football Club, members and fans used to enjoy nights out at the club’s Brockville Social Club when the old stadium in the town centre was still there.

In 1974 the Inter Club magazine paid a couple of visits to get some photos for the publication.

On Friday, March 20, a hen party was being held with a local lass celebrating with 20 of her friends, while the following Monday there was a darts match.

The magazine said: “The younger lads, James McFarlane and Gordon Brown would have been too good for Michael McGuire and Bryce Bonar.

“James and Gordon’s aggregate age is 37 compared with Michael and Bryce’s of 159. So perhaps it wasn’t a fair match.”
