When Paul and Caroline Johnston decided they needed a break from moving to brand new houses that didn’t need any work, they chose this spacious villa in Stenhousemuir.
Parents to two girls, the couple embraced the challenge of transforming the house which had been left in need of some care and attention.
Caroline, who is from Larbert said: “We’ve been in this property over four years, and we have completely updated and modernised it.
“We had been so used to moving into new houses that really didn’t need anything done to them, but we were looking for a project and we were happy to do the work ourselves.
“We stripped it back to the bare bones so we could start with a blank canvas.’’.
