Have your say

The Falkirk Herald is inviting children to put on their best smiles and take part in this year’s exciting competition.

We’ve again teamed up with the Howgate to run the Summer Stars bonny baby event ... and there’s a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs.

We’re inviting all youngsters under five to get their photographs taken at the Falkirk shopping centre, and then we’ll publish the professional prints of all our little ones and ask our readers to vote for their favourites.

To take part, just go along to the Howgate’s publicity stand outside Argos where portrait specialists Tiny Tots will take your child’s picture. You can choose which one you want to be published in The Falkirk Herald, and you also have the option to buy the photo as a special addition to your family album.

There are three age categories this year and each winner will receive a £100 gift card from the Howgate, a £30 prize from Piccolina children’s wear and a £40 gift from the new Symth’s toy shop.

Each winner will also receive a large framed portrait of their picture from Tiny Tots.

Margaret Foy, centre manager at the Howgate, said: “I’m very excited about the competition.

It’s a great opportunity for people to come along with their babies and children, and everyone loves a bonny baby.

“Everyone can enter, it’s completely free, and they can get their family and friends to vote for their favourite.

“Also, everyone who enters will get a Howgate goodie bag.”

Tiny Tots will be holding special photo sessions between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day between Monday, June 13, and June 25, with shorter hours on a Sunday.

Last year, the competition was a huge success, attracting over 250 entries.
