When Tony and Ashley Higgins were looking to make a move to Falkirk, they wanted a house that would not only give me an ideal base, but one that had a welcoming, homely feel.

And they found all that and more in this Newhouse Drive property.

With its stunning views, central location and private, sunny garden, this house was perfect for the couple who love to socialise with family and friends.

Ashley said: “I work in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London and the location was absolutely perfect for us.

“With trains running to the cities every 15 minutes, it was ideal because I didn’t always know where I’d be working.

“So the location was always a key factor for us.”

After moving in nine years ago, the couple invested time and money making this house more contemporary.

They redecorated and added finishing touches such as a feature fireplace for the living room.

The bathroom and en suite were replaced, and work was done in the secluded garden.

Ashley said: “The kitchen/dining room is a great space for entertaining.

“We socialise a lot because we both have big families, so it’s great for that and it also leads out to the conservatory.

“The kitchen also gets lots of light; it’s a very bright, sunny house.”

The couple are now hoping to make a move to Glasgow to be closer to family.

Ashley added: “When we started looking for a house, it was really important that it had a good feel about it.

“This house is really welcoming and warm.”
