THE COUPLE: Lyndsay is 34 and a civil servant from Bainsford, and Allan (30) is an HGV driver from Polmont. The newlyweds live in Brightons.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met in Rosie’s nightclub just over 10 years ago. A work colleague of Lyndsay’s who knew Allan introduced the
pair. They have been together ever since.

THE PROPOSAL: Allan popped the question while the couple were enjoying a holiday in Florida in 2008. Allan got down on one knee outside the Cinderella Castle which Lyndsay described as her ideal proposal. She was completely shocked but was thrilled to say ‘yes’.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on March 22, 2014 at The Three Kings in Falkirk. There were 90 day guests and around 120 in the evening. Lyndsay said the day was amazing and went perfectly from start to finish.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Lyndsay’s bridesmaids were her younger sister Lorna Wood, her best friend Lisa Duncan and Allan’s cousin Louise Donaldson. The best man was Allan’s best friend Derek Stratton and the ushers were Finlay Nicolson, Ian Duff and Colin Clason. The flower girl was Lyndsay’s six-year-old niece Paige Wood.

THE DRESS: The bride wore a Ronald Joyce off-white gown from Olivia Cameron. The dress had thin shoulder straps and detailing on the bodice and skirt.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple returned to Florida for two fantastic weeks.

THANKS: Special thanks go to Isobel Wells, Allan’s mum, Lyndsay’s mum Irene West and Lyndsay’s step-mum Marilyn Wood.
