Have your say

Lauren (26) is a primary teacher in Falkirk and Rory (26) is a scientist. The pair live in Grangemouth.

HOW THEY MET: The couple first met while at a friend’s 18th birthday party and afterwards Rory added Lauren on Bebo. The pair had their first date in January 2009.

THE PROPOSAL: Rory popped the question on a beach in Oldshoremore after writing the question in the sand. However, the couple almost didn’t make it to their
destination after their car broke down on the way to the North of Scotland and Lauren wanted to turn back rather than continue the journey.

THE WEDDING: Lauren and Rory tied the knot on July 1, at Zetland Parish Church in Grangemouth before moving to the Beancross for the reception.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Best man was Paul Whitson and maid of honour was Lauren’s sister Kimberley Douglas.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple jetted off to the Dominican Republic for two weeks.

THANKS: A big thank you to parents, Colin and Kirsty Douglas and David Grundison and Alex Finlay and to photographer Emma Gray, Cinematique and to all the staff at the Beancross for their excellent help.
