The wedding of Katarzyna Kasczyszyn and Marek Mysliwiecof
THE COUPLE: Kasia is 31 and a home help for Falkirk Council, and Marek Mysliwiec (35) is a food operator for Caledonia Produce in Bo’ness. The couple are originally from Poland but now live in Grangemouth.
HOW THEY MET: The couple met through an online game. Marek was still in Poland at that time, but fell in love when they first met in person. After deciding they wanted to be together, Marek moved to Scotland.
THE PROPOSAL: The couple got engaged on October 5, 2013 during a boat trip from Queensferry to Inchcolm Island. Marek found a nice quiet place and got down on his knee and asked Kasia to spend rest of her life with him. She was very surprised but was delighted to say yes.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on November 29, 2013 at the Registry Office in Grangemouth. The ceremony was small and private occasion, followed by a lovely dinner at the couple’s home. The newlyweds were delighted when friends of the bride made the beautiful wedding cake.
THE DRESS: Kasia’s dress was an ivory A-line strapless gown with a long train. She said it was “just right” for her.
THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds have not been away on honeymoon yet, but they are hoping to get away to Spain, Portugal or go on a cruise at some point.
THANKS: The couple would like to say a special thanks to Linsey Dunbar from the registry office for all her good advice and kindness. Also to Jola and Wojtek Krzyzak for all the help and support. And, of course, to all guests and friends who sent the couple so many cards and best wishes.
