The wedding of Emma and Stuart McCracken

HOW THEY MET: The couple met through mutual friends and Emma was ‘bowled over’ by Stuart on a night out at the ten-pin bowling alley in Camelon.

THE PROPOSAL: Stuart popped the question while out shopping in March 2012 when he asked Emma, out of the blue, ‘Do you want a ring?’. Emma said yes and they picked one out from a jewellers in Falkirk.

THE WEDDING: The big day took place in the Beancross Hotel in Polmont on June 7 and was a humanist ceremony which Emma said was “more personal”. The day started off sunny but there were a few drops of rain later in the day. There were 90 day guests with a further 100 at night.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Emma’s maid of honour was big sister Meghan Watt and Stuart’s sister Emma and his daughter Olivia (9) were bridesmaids. Stuart’s best man was his big brother Paul, while ushers 
were friend Jamie McAulay and cousin Craig Sinclair. Andrew AJ McFarlane was page boy and Charley McFarlane was flower girl who are relatives.

THE DRESS: Emma’s satin dress was designed by Alfred Angelo and was strapless with diamantes along the bodice with a small train.

HONEYMOON: The couple went to Gran Canaria and loved it so much they have decided they are going back next year.
