The wedding of Claire-Louise Currie and Mark Wright

THE COUPLE: Claire-Louise is 25 and a waitress at Pizza Hut in Falkirk, while Mark is 28 and a plant operator at Longannet. The newlyweds live in Newcarron with their daughter, Megan.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met six years ago through work. Claire-Louise was working as a waitress at Stirling’s Pizza Hut and Mark was working in the kitchen.

THE PROPOSAL: Mark proposed in May 2011. The couple were in Aberfoyle and went for a walk around a lake. Claire-Louise knew Mark was going to propose but didn’t know when he was going to do it.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on August 10, 2013 at Broomhall Castle in Menstrie. There were 70 guests for the ceremony and a total of 120 in the evening. The couple had a brilliant day. Their 19-month-old daughter Megan stole the show in the evening, dancing the night away. Claire-Louise’s favourite moment was walking down the aisle with her dad who was carrying Megan.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Claire-Louise’s bridesmaids were her friends Karyn Russell and Louise Wallace and her young cousins, Mia and Larna Luffman-Kemp. The best men were Mark’s friends Craig Martin and Douglas Shirley, and the ushers were Claire-Louise’s brother Michael and Mark’s brother Scott.

THE DRESS: Claire-Louise wore an ivory, strapless gown with detailing at the top and a flowing skirt.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent two weeks on a wonderful tour of the west coast of the United States.

THANKS: Special thanks to both sets of parents, Angela and Tim Currie and Alistair and Isobel Wright for all their support.
