The wedding of Lorna Anderson and Craig Macrae

THE COUPLE: Lorna is 27, from Grangemouth, while Craig, from Shieldhill, is 26. The couple are both civil servants and they now live in Shieldhill.

HOW THEY MET: The pair met around four years ago through work.

THE PROPOSAL: Craig popped the question to Lorna on the memorable date of November 11, 2011. The couple were in the back garden with their black Labrador puppy, Henry, who was playing in the snow. Craig then proposed with an engagement ring to a very surprised Lorna who was delighted to accept.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on April 11 at the Vu in Bathgate. There were 120 guests during the day and a total of 150 family and friends in the evening. Blessed with good weather, Lorna and Craig loved the whole day, although they said it flew by.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Lorna’s
sister Katrina Anderson was a bridesmaid as was her friend Nicola O’Donnell. The best man was Iain O’Donnell, and the usher was Ross Kirkpatrick. The flower girl was two-year-old Sophie Grandison, Lorna’s niece, and the page boy was Caolin O’Donnell (4).

THE DRESS: Lorna wore an ivory, strapless gown with diamanté and pearl detail. Lorna snapped up the dress at BHS.

THE HONEYMOON: Although the official honeymoon is not until August, when the couple will jet off to Aruba, they have already been to Majorca and Malta since getting married!

THANKS: Thanks to both sets of parents Patricia Anderson and Allan Gallagher, and Val and Neil Macrae. Also thanks to Lorna’s uncle, Charles McClafferty, and all family and friends.
