The wedding of Lauren Mooney and Brian Chisholm
The couple: Lauren is 28 and is a trainee beauty therapist while Brian is 30 and is a driver for Asda. They live in Middlefield, Falkirk and have two boys, Callyn (7) and Caiden (5).
How they met: The newlyweds met in the Maniqui nightclub (now Storm) on Christmas Eve, 2002 when they had their first smooch at midnight.
The proposal: Ever the romantic, Brian wrapped a ring around a present and asked for Lauren’s hand in marriage on the ninth anniversary of when they first got together, taking Lauren by surprise.
The wedding: The big day was on July 1 at the Three Kings in Shieldhill. Eighty guests watched them tie the knot followed by a further 50 for the evening reception. Lauren said the day was so amazing she wants to do it all again.
The wedding party: Lauren’s best friend Debbie Kennedy was chief bridesmaid along with Brian’s sister Tracey and friend Laura Easton. Flower girls were nieces Morgan Clelland and Eabha Chisholm. Best man was Brian’s best pal Maurice Pryke and ushers were the couple’s brothers Matthew Mooney and Graeme Chisholm. Callyn and Caiden were page boys.
The dress: Lauren wore a diamond white dress with a straight neckline, fitted waist and full skirt.
The honeymoon: The happy couple spent two days in Pitlochry before taking the boys to hot tub lodges in Cupar, Fife.
Thanks: Special thanks to all the couple’s friends and family who shared the day and photographer Charlene Hoey.
