The wedding of Ashleigh Johnstone and Cole Ronald
HOW THEY MET: The couple met on a night out in Falkirk last August. They bumped into each other and he asked her to dance.
THE PROPOSAL: The couple had talked about getting married, but Cole surprised Ashleigh one night at home in April by getting down on one knee with an engagement ring.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held just six weeks later. The couple married on May 25 at the Registry Office in Giffnock, where Ashleigh’s parents got married, and later enjoyed dinner with 25 friends and family at the Red Stone in Uddingston. The couple had a brilliant day and enjoyed the glorious sunshine. The couple are hoping to have a blessing in New Zealand next year.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Ashleigh’s bridesmaid was her friend Laura Gillespie and Cole’s best man was his friend James Howarth.
THE DRESS: As the wedding was organised in just a few weeks, Ashleigh bought her wedding dress on her lunch break from work one day. The dress was an plain ivory gown with pearls on the bodice from Lola Lemon in Larbert.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent two-and-a-half weeks in Turkey.
THANKS: Special thanks go to both sets of parents for all their help and support.
