The wedding of Kirsty Manson and Christopher Easton
THE COUPLE: Kirsty, from Laurieston, is 25 and a deputy manager for a supermarket and Kincardine’s Chris is 34 and a baker for a supermarket. The newlyweds live in Larbert.
HOW THEY MET: The couple met through work about five years ago.
THE PROPOSAL: A patient Chris had to ask Kirsty to marry him a few times because she just didn’t believe him the first time. Chris asked Kirsty’s father’s permission three months before the couple finally became engaged.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on March 10 at Callendar House. Around 70 guests witnessed the marriage and then 130 friends and family got together for the evening reception. A great time was had by all, and Kirsty said that a highlight of the day was the ceremony and seeing their 18-month-old son in a little kilt.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Kirsty’s older sister Eilidh Manson was the bridesmaid, and the best man was Chris’s brother-in-law Matthew Wight. The ushers were Ian Griffin and Peter McConnachie, and the couple’s son Connor.
THE DRESS: Kirsty described her dress as big and sparkly. It was a style she never thought she’d pick but loved the gown from Olivia Cameron in Laurieston.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple enjoyed a weekend away in Port Patrick.
THANKS: Special thanks go to both sets of parents, Margaret and Gordon Manson and Frank and Margaret Easton. Also thanks to the florist Perfect Touch in Laurieston, and A1 wedding cars.
