The wedding of Laura Jane Thomson and Alan Valentine
HOW THEY MET: The couple met in Blackpool. Alan’s local pub organised a trip there every year, and one of Alan’s friend’s wives invited Laura Jane along.
the proposal: Alan popped the question while the couple were enjoying a holiday in Corfu. He had planned to do it during a romantic horse and carriage ride, but Laura Jane said she didn’t like the sound of that. Later, Alan asked Laura Jane to start wearing her committment ring on her left hand, and ask her to be his wife.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on December 29 at The Three Kings. There were 60 guests during the day and of 200 at night. Laura Jane said the whole day was brilliant.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Laura Jane’s bridesmaid was her cousin Melissa Corner, and the best man was Alan’s older brother Paul Valentine. The ushers were Alan’s best friend Grant Donnelly, and his cousin David Tonnar,
THE DRESS: Laura Jane wore a strapless diamond white gown with crystals and pearls on the bodice and a full skirt.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple are jetting off to Sharm El Sheikh later this month.
