The birth of Muhammad Ayan Salleem

THE DETAILS: Muhammad Ayan Salleem was born at 5.30 p.m. on November 22, 2013, at Forth Valley Royal Hospital weighing 8lb.

THE PARENTS: Mum Aneela Kashif is 29 and a housewife and dad Muhammad Kashif Salleem is 33 and a student studying business. Muhammad is the couple’s first
baby and the family live in Falkirk.

THE PREGNANCY: All was well with the pregnancy, and Aneela kept well.

THE BIRTH: Timely Baby Salleem was just one day early and was born safely in hospital after 16 hours of labour.

THE BABY: Muhammad is a very good baby. He is eating and sleeping well and smiles when he sees people he knows. Dad said: “He’s always in a good mood. He’s a very happy baby who doesn’t cry for no reason. He really likes it when you speak to him and he will smile back.”

THE NAME: The baby’s first name is after his dad. ‘Ayan’ means God’s gift in Arabic which the couple wanted to include in the baby’s name.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Muhammad is a grandson for Muhammad Yousaf Salleem and Shamshad Bagam and Muhammad Humayun Khan.

THANKS: The couple would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at the hospital for their care. Mr Salleem said: “I want to thank all the NHS from the bottom on my heart.” He added: We also want to thank our family, friends and neighbours for all their support.”
