The birth of Max Williamson

THE DETAILS: Max Williamson was born on May 6, 2013 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 3.07 a.m. weighing 5lb 5oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Chloe (26) works in recruitment in a call centre in Larbert, and dad Michael, also 26, works in a call centre in Stirling. Max is the couple’s first baby and the family live in Falkirk.

THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy went very smoothly. Chloe said she had no problems at all, and was just a bit fed up towards the end. She said: “I was very lucky.”

THE BIRTH: Baby Williamson arrived two days early. Chloe had had friends round on the Satuday night who stayed until 2 a.m. and her pains began at 3 a.m. so she was a bit tired. The birth was straight forward, with dad Michael at his wife’s side.

THE BABY: Max is doing great. He’s smiling and making lots of noises, and loves to be sung to. He is eating well and sleeping for around six hours a night. He also loves to have a wee kick on his changing mat.

THE NAME: Chloe liked the name ‘Max’ and dad liked it too when he saw the baby. The couple wanted a short name but one that couldn’t be shortened.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Max is a first grandchild for Denise and Robert Miller of Stenhousemuir, and also for Elaine and Calum Williamson of Larbert.

THANKS: Special thanks go to both sets of parents, and to the staff at the hospital. Chloe would also like to thank Michael for being with her through the birth.
