The birth of Kyle Alexander Maxwell
THE PARENTS: Mum Nicola is 30 and a civil servant based in Falkirk, and dad Alexander (33) works for a plant hire company in Grangemouth. The family live in Denny with their two older children Noah (3) and Eva (1).
THE PREGNANCY: Nicola said that the pregnancy was great this time round, and that it flew in. She also said she was a bit more tired this time, with two youngsters to look after.
THE BIRTH: Baby Maxwell was four days late, but arrived naturally at hospital. The birth was quick and straight forward and mum and baby were well and home pretty quickly afterwards.
THE BABY: Kyle is a happy, content baby. He has some trouble with his breathing which he’s getting hospital treatment for, but he’s good and loves to watch his big brother and sister and have them tell him stories.
THE NAME: Kyle was a strong contender when Nicola was pregnant with Noah. The new baby was going to be called Jacob until 10 minutes before he was born when it was changed to Kyle. Alexander is after dad.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Kyle is a fifth grandchild for Colette and John McCormick of Falkirk and a fourth for Richard and Maureen Maxwell of Falkirk.
THANKS: Special thanks go to all the staff at the hospital.
