The birth of Alfie Gordon Lynch

THE PARENTS: Mum Kirsty (31) works as a travel agent for Thomas Cook in Larbert while dad Chris is a bank manager for Santander based in Glasgow. Alfie is their third child after being blessed with Jack (6) and Sofia (3). The family live in Larbert.

THE PREGNANCY: Kirsty said Alfie’s pregnancy wasn’t a good one and was her hardest one by far. It was very tiring and she had a few trips to the hospital. Her back was very sore throughout as well.

THE BIRTH: Kirsty had a natural birth which was trouble-free. She went into hospital on the Wednesday at around 6.30 a.m. and Alfie came along safe and sound just under six hours later.

THE BABY: Alfie is just a brilliant baby who sleeps all night and feeds very well. He loves smiling and is almost giggling which the parents are really looking forward to.

THE NAME: Alfie is a name the couple loved from the start and Kirsty says it really suits him being “a wee chunk”. His middle name Gordon is after Kirsty’s dad.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Alfie is the third grandchild of Brenda and Gordon Neish from Brightons and is the fourth for Chris’s mother Avril Lynch from Laurieston.

THANKS: The couple would like to thank friend Larissa Lawrence who was a birthing partner with Chris, the Bluebell Team at FVRH and all their family and friends for their gifts and support.
