The birth of Eve Katharine Lynas

THE DETAILS: Eve Katharine Lynas was born on January 20 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 7.29 p.m. weighing 7lb 15oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Alison is 30 and a freelance artist, while dad Phil (33) is a civil servant. Eve is the couple’s second baby and the family live in Dunipace.

THE PREGNANCY: Alison had a trouble-free pregnancy, and she said it flew by, especially with a toddler to keep her busy.

THE BIRTH: Alison started experiencing contractions on the due date of January 19, and Eve arrived the next day. It was a natural and quick delivery. Dad Phil and Alison’s sister Fiona were there for the birth. Both mum and baby were well afterwards.

THE BABY: Eve is a great baby. She is a very happy and content little girl and will happily sleep through the night. Alison loves her big brother, two-year-old Euan, and also loves having a giggle and tickle with her daddy.

THE NAME: Eve was a name that both Alison and Phil really liked, while Katharine is Alison’s middle name.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Eve has two sets of loving grandparents living nearby. She is a second grandchild for Margaret and John Douglas of Head of Muir, and a third for Yvonne and Jim Lynas of Wallacestone.

THANKS: Thanks go to the hospital for taking such good care of Alison and Eve, and also to all family and friends for the gifts, good wishes and support.
