The birth of Millie Hope Forsyth
THE DETAILS: Millie Hope Forsyth was born on December 14, 2012, at 9.35 p.m. at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 9.35 p.m. weighing 7lb 4.5oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Laura (29) is from Polmont and a supervisor at Bon Marche in Falkirk, while dad Craig (32) is a scale technician in Stenhousemuir. Millie is the couple’s first baby and the family live in Grangemouth.
THE PREGNANCY: It went fine, although Laura was tired at the start.
THE BIRTH: Little Millie arrived four days early. Laura went into labour naturally and everything was progressing well until the baby got stuck. An emergency section had to be carried out, but mum and baby were very well afterwards.
THE BABY: Millie is happy and healthy and loves her food. She has already developed a fondness for the TV.
THE NAME: Millie was a name Laura heard at work one day and it stuck with her. Hope is for the whole family for the future.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Millie is “spoiled rotten” by her doting grandparents. She’s a first for Allan and the late Sheena Scott of Polmont and Catherine and Alex Forsyth of Stenhousemuir.
THANKS: Thanks go to the maternity team, and Laura’s sister Elaine who was one of her birth partner.
