The birth of Arlo Roncon

THE DETAILS: Arlo Roncone was born in Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 9.30 a.m. on November 8 weighing 7lb 9oz.

THE PARENTS: Lynn Roncone (38) is a Customer First adviser with Falkirk Council, and Riccardo Roncone (41) is a port operator from Grangemouth.

THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy was going well until Lynn developed gestational diabetes and the baby was found to be in an extended breach position. As a result Lynn was booked for a section on November 8.

THE BIRTH: At the hospital, it was found the baby had turned to the correct position but a section was still advised because of medical history. Riccardo was there to support throughout.

THE BABY: Arlo is a contented, happy baby and only cries when hungry. He sleeps all night, waking only once for a feed. Eight-year-old brother Remo is very helpful, always hugging and kissing Arlo.

THE NAME: The couple liked it and, as dad is Italian, felt it was fitting.

THE GRAND-PARENTS: Arlo is a second grandchild for May and William Walinck and Eileen Roncone.

THANKS: The proud parents thanked all the hospital medical and theatre staff and the midwives who helped mother and baby.
