The birth of Luke Alexander Pringle

THE DETAILS: Luke Alexander Pringle was born on September 8 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 3.22 p.m. weighing 4lb 12oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Joanna Hogan (36) works at Thomas Cook in Larbert, and dad Graham Pringle (42) works with Tesco Bank in Edinburgh. Luke is the couple’s first child and the family live in New Carron.

THE PREGNANCY: Joanna suffered morning sickness for the first 12 weeks but then had the “perfect pregnancy”.

THE BIRTH: Luke arrived five weeks early. Joanna had been at work but that night started feeling a bit unwell. After visiting the hospital, Joanna discovered her waters had broken. Luke spent three weeks in the neo-natal unit.

THE BABY: Luke is a happy smiling baby. He’s eating and sleeping well and is a great wee three-month old.

THE NAME: Luke was a name the couple liked from the start, and Alexander is after Joanna’s dad.

THE FAMILY: Luke is doted on by grandparents Alexander and Sheila Hogan of Falkirk and Anne and Irvine Pringle of Cumbernauld. He’s also a baby brother for Gary (18), Tamara (17), Lauryn (13) and Cian (10) Pringle.

THANKS: Huge thanks to the excellent neo-natal team at FVRH.
