The birth of Fraser Brian Marjoribanks
THE DETAILS: Fraser Brian Marjoribanks was born on August 24 at 8.26 p.m. weighing 6lb 14.5oz, at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
THE PARENTS: Mum Jennifer (nee Fleming) is a reporter at The Falkirk Herald, while dad Brian is a sports journalist at the Scottish Daily Mail. The family live in Falkirk with big brother Alexander (2).
THE PREGNANCY: Jennifer had a miserable pregnancy! She ended up on crutches from 30 weeks onwards due to pelvic problems and was wishing the weeks away before Fraser’s arrival.
THE BIRTH: Fraser’s birth was induced two weeks early and, despite a slow start, he arrived pretty quickly – the midwife barely had time to get her gloves on before he popped out!
THE BABY: Jennifer said: “Fraser is a great baby and we are loving being a family of four.”
THE NAME: Fraser was the only name the couple could agree on. Brian is after his dad and grandpa.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Fraser is the fourth grandchild for Elizabeth and Johnny Fleming of Shieldhill and the fifth for Brian and Kathleen Marjoribanks of Falkirk.
THANKS: Jennifer and Brian would like to thank all maternity staff at Forth Valley Royal for their excellent care, and all their friends and family for their support over the past year.
