The birth of Nathan Charles Clark

THE DETAILS: Nathan Charles Clark was born on June 11 at 3.45 a.m. at Forth Valley Royal Hospital weighing 6lb 11oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Emma Simpson (33) works for Prudential in Stirling, and dad Kenny Clark works at Syngenta in Grangemouth. Nathan is the couple’s first baby and the family live in Carronshore.

THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy went very well with no problems.

THE BIRTH: Timely Nathan arrived on his due date. Emma had gone into labour at home and delivered Nathan safely at hospital in the early hours.

THE BABY: Nathan is a very happy, contented little baby. He eats and sleeps well and is starting to recognise family and friends who he always has big smiles for. Even though he’s just a few months old, he loves watching TV!

THE NAME: When Emma and Kenny decided to have a baby, they were on holiday in Portugal where a cute little boy called Nathan used to sit at the pool. They loved the name and it stuck with them.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Baby Clark is a first grandchild for Carol and Alan Clark of Larbert, and a fifth for Lorna and Donald Simpson of Stenhous
emuir.

THANKS: Special thanks to the grandparents, and to the bluebell team and the midwife who stayed with Emma in theatre after the birth.
