THE PARENTS: Mum Suzanne is 27 and is a police officer while dad Stephen is a health and safety manager based in Carron. Arran is the couple’s second child and the family live in Grangemouth.
THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy was fine although Suzanne did suffer a bit of pain as baby had managed to dislodged one of her ribs.
THE BIRTH: Little Arran couldn’t wait to come into the world and arrived two weeks early. Mum and baby were both well afterwards.
THE BABY: Arran is really good and is eating and sleeping well. He is doted on by his older brother Harris (3) who constantly gives him cuddles and kisses.
THE NAME: The couple liked the name Arran and decided to spell it like the island just like Harris.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Wee Arran is a second grandchild for Mhairi and Iain Hardie of Grangemouth, and a fifth for Shirley and Stephen Short of Falkirk.
THANKS: Suzanne would like to thank the midwives at the hospital, and husband Stephen for his help at the birth.
