THE DETAILS: Callum George Irvine was born on May 13 at Stirling Royal Infirmary at 5.54 a.m. weighing 7lb 8oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Jenny Irvine is 25 and a micro-biologist based in Livingston, and dad George Irvine is 26 from Laurieston and works as a computer engineer in Stirling. The family live in Maddiston and Callum is their first baby.

THE PREGNANCY: Jenny said that the pregnancy went well and that she only had slight morning sickness in the beginning.

THE BIRTH: Callum was 10 days overdue when he made his very unusual entrance to the world. Jenny started experiencing contractions in the early hours of the morning, and experienced a footling breech. The baby was delivered by c-section and both mum and baby were well afterwards.

THE BABY: Callum is doing brilliantly. He sleeps through the night and is starting to get some teeth coming through. He is very smiley and happy and loves being cuddled.

THE NAME: George picked the name ‘Callum’ which Jenny also liked. The middle name of ‘George’ is after dad.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Callum is a grandchild for Linda and John Strang of Maddiston and Janie and Jim Irvine of Polmont.

THANKS: Special thanks go to the grandparents, family and friends for all their help, love and support.
