THE COUPLE: Carolann Buchanan is 26 from Falkirk and is a teacher at various schools, and Andrew Forrest (28) is from Denny and is a blind manufacturer. The couple live in Denny.

HOW THEY MET: The couple first met in McDonald’s when Carolann was 17. She said she liked him and they went on a date and took it from there.

THE PROPOSAL: Andrew popped the question during a quiet Friday night in. Carolann was surprised but still delighted.

THE WEDDING: The ceremony was held on April 7 in Callendar House where 74 guests watched the couple get married, and the reception was held in The Three Kings where up to 120 friends and family celebrated. Carolann said that the day was brilliant and that the speeches were a real highlight.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Carolann’s bridesmaids were younger sister Arlene Buchanan and her best friend Laura Miller. The flower girl was the couple’s daughter Ava Forrest (4). The best man was Andrew’s best friend Alan Anderson and the ushers were the couple’s brothers Christopher Buchanan and Stephen Forrest. The page boy was nephew Mikey Forrest (5).

THE DRESS: Carolann wore a princess cut dress with diamantee detail down one side and a long train.

THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds spent a fantastic two weeks in Cyprus.
