Kaye Adams will present the Scottish coverage on BBC for Children in Need on Friday

Grangemouth television presenter Kaye Adams has stepped in at the last minute to host Children in Need.

Newsreader Jackie Bird was scheduled to present the show but after an emergency operation is still in hospital.

Kaye, a former ‘Loose Women’ host will host the Scottish coverage of the televised charity event on Friday on BBC.

The Portonian said: “I’m looking forward to helping raise a much money as possible on the night.”
