The birth of Bobbi Grace Scarlett Quinn
THE DETAILS: Bobbi Grace Scarlett Quinn was welcomed into the world at 7.21 p.m. on January 21 in Larbert’s Forth Valley Royal Hospital. She weighed in at a healthy 8lb 3oz.
THE PARENTS: Proud mum Shirley (37) works with the Child Support Agency in Falkirk’s Callendar Business Park. Dad, Steven (33), is a warehouse operator with Asda in Bainsford. Bobbi Grace is the couple’s third child – twins Aiden and Tia are now aged three. The family lives in Dalgrain Road, Grangemouth.
THE PREGNANCY: Morning sickness and heartburn were a factor, but apart from that Shirley insists the nine months were “fairly straightforward!”
THE BIRTH: Mum started her contractions at around 10 a.m. that day and by 1 p.m. when they were arriving every couple of minutes Steven decided it was a good time to drive mother and baby to the hospital. After that everything was “routine”.
THE BABY: Bobbi Grace is the “perfect” baby who sleeps well and only demands mum’s attention when she is hungry.
THE NAME: Shirley and Steven agreed the latest addition to the family would be named after Shirley’s dad, Bobby, who tragically died from leukemia last October.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Shirley’s mum, May Cordiner, now has 12 grandchildren to fuss over while Steven’s stepmum Lynne Quinn has three.
THANKS: The couple would like to thank the Rose Team at FVRH and both sets of parents and extended family for all their support.
