The birth of Blair David Eric Linning
THE DETAILS: Blair David Eric Linning was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary on January 23 at 2.48 p.m. weighing 9lb.
THE PARENTS: Mum Yvonne (nee Liddle) is 26 and a modern languages teacher in Edinburgh, while dad Richard is 26 and a bus driver for First Edinburgh. Blair is the couple’s first child and the family live in Falkirk.
THE PREGNANCY: Yvonne said that the pregnancy was absolute fine with no morning sickness. She was certain she was having a boy.
THE BIRTH: Yvonne was 42 weeks pregnant when she was induced at Stirling Royal Infirmary on the Friday, The labour didn’t go very well and Blair was born by emergency section on the Sunday when he was taken to the neonatal intensive care unit.
THE BABY: Blair got home from hospital on February 4 and is thriving. He loves milk and sleeps through most nights.
THE NAME: Blair was a name that both Yvonne and Richard liked long before she was even pregnant. David is after Richard’s late father and Eric after Yvonne’s dad.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Blair is a first grandchild for Eric and Helen Liddle from Falkirk, and Linda and the late David Linning from Stenhousemuir. He is also a first nephew for Allan Liddle and Stewart Linning and a first great-nephew for Auntie Marlyn Liddle.
