The birth of Murray Campbell.
THE DETAILS: Murray Fraser Campbell was born in Stirling Royal Infirmary on September 7 at 3.18 a.m. weighing 4lb 5oz.

THE PARENTS: Leonie Murray (23) is a housewife and full time mum. Fraser Campbell (25) is an instrument technician offshore. The couple live in Carronshore with baby Murray and daughter
Carla (3).

THE PREGNANCY: Leonie said the pregnancy was fine except towards the end. At 36 weeks she was big and began to feel uncomfortable.

THE BIRTH: Murray was born six weeks prematurely after Leonie was rushed to hospital with pre-eclampsia and kidney failure. After spending 10 days in the high dependency unit, she was reunited with her son. Leonie said: "All I remember after being knocked out was being told that I had a son and that he was alright."

THE BABY: "Murray weights about 13 lbs now and he's just brilliant. He's so smiley, he's a wee angel."

THE NAME: Murray was chosen because there are no males on Leonie's side to carry on her family name and his middle name Fraser is after his dad.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Murray is the third grandchild for Carolanne and John Murray and second for Isobel and Ian Campbell.

THANKS: Thanks to all the doctors in the high dependency and labour ward, to all the couple's family and especially to Fraser's mum Isobel and Fraser for all their support through the birth and pregnancy.
