ZACK James Mitchell was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary on March 11 at 7.28 p.m. weighing 6lb 8oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Leah Mitchell (27) is a public enquiry officer with the Scottish Parliament. Dad, Jimmy Mitchell (33), is a civil engineer. The family live in Carron.

THE PREGNANCY: Leah kept well throughout the nine months and admits she was "very fortunate".

THE BIRTH: Zack arrived five days early following a straightforward birth.

THE BABY: Leah said: "He's started to be bothered with colic which is a shame but apart from that everything's fine. Zack's smiling at us now and taking an interest in what's going on."

THE NAME: Leah said: "We were sure it was going to be a girl and had female names picked but none for a boy. In the end, and after a lot of deliberation, Zack was a name we both liked and James is after his dad."

THE GRANDPARENTS: Zack is the fourth grandchild for Carol and Johnnie Niblo of Grangemouth and the first grandchild for Jane Mitchell of Carron and Jim Mitchell of Laurieston.

THANKS: The couple would like to thank the Rose team and all family and friends for their kind gifts.
